If you are a new business and you would like to stock Newspapers and Magazines, we would like you to read the following documents:
The Menzies Distribution Service Pledge is a collection of promises from us to our customers which represent the highest set of wholesale service standards in the industry.
We recommend you pay particular attention to Part 13: Financial Arrangements, which provides information on Minimum Sales Value and Carriage Service Charge.
Please note for all new 7 day accounts newspapers and magazines we require a £1000.00 deposit (£600 for Newspapers only). There is also a Minimum Sales Value (MSV) target of £235.32 on National Newspapers, this means you have to sell a net value of £235.32 per week for Newspapers (Magazines and Regional Titles are not included in this calculation) and where the value falls below this there will be a surcharge of the difference. There is no time limit on this target being applied to new accounts and will only be removed if newspaper sales are consistently above the £235.32 level. MSV is reviewed every 13 weeks.
There is also a weekly Carriage Service Charge of £45.95 for delivery and uplift of unsolds. If you would like to proceed, as a first step, please complete the application form and e-mail it to Customer.Masterdata@menziesdistribution.com. Please note we will require hard copies of the forms posted to our office for the attention of Customer Master Data, Menzies Distribution, Verdant, 2 Redheughs Rigg, South Gyle, Edinburgh, EH12 9DQ, before we can commence supplies.
